Liz Cowen Furman, author and illustrator, knows firsthand what a strong family means to a child. As a teacher, she has witnessed the heartbreak of splintered families who lack values and traditions that bind parent and child together. Her husband Dave is a Juvenile Court Magistrate who sees the same destruction every day.
Their dream is to provide inspiration for family living that honors God and that makes every family member feel welcomed and loved.
Liz and Dave live with their three sons - Martin, Matthew and Micah - in Morrison, Colorado. Dave's parents, Mel and Muff Furman, also share their home. Traditions and Recipes that Say Welcome Home All Year 'Round is Liz's first book.
